This week, Taylor reports, a gentlemen came in who is planning on giving his wife a special painting for an upcoming anniversary. He wants one of our state buildings painted in a large format as - this is the cool part - they met there. The great thing about a commission is that you can get what you want. Things can be added or taken away. You become part of the creative process. So the next time you want something really special that you can have input into, consider original art as a gift.

Update from Taylor on cornering the romance market in Dover. Last week a couple were in shopping and she really loved a mixed media piece. She said she was going on 79 and didn't have room for a lot of things any longer but loved the texture and saying on the work. The next day the husband returned solo and purchased it for her as a surprise for her birthday which was the following day. He asked for it to be wrapped and a few minutes later off he happily went knowing he purchased something she really wanted. Happy birthday to Pat if she's reading this.
